Address the stress with Megafol
Environmental stresses are one of the biggest yield limiting factors in agriculture1. With seemingly more weather extremes, environmental stresses have become quite regular leading to the search for additional ways to mitigate stress. In recent years research has been done on how to help the plant better protect itself from stress, with less human intervention, leading to the development of biostimulant products.
Megafol®, Syngenta’s biostimulant can help your crop respond to stress by increasing natural plant processes. By increasing these normal plant responses, plants are better equipped to recover from environmental stress like drought, heat, cold, and hail.
As spring is upon us, frost mitigation is top of mind. Frost can cause leaf damage. The damaged leaves often have lower leaf nitrogen and less chlorophyll content. Although local Canadian data is still being gathered, European studies showed the use of Megafol in tree fruit prior to a frost significantly mitigated some of the damaging effects of frost such as loss of leaf nitrogen and chlorophyll content, meaning Megafol can help plants work through chilly temperatures.
You can learn more details about Megafol here, or reach out to your local input supplier or Syngenta representative.
